A woman has died following a collision in Co Galway on Saturday. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the single-vehicle crash, which occurred at Rooaun, Eyrecourt, at approximately 8.15pm. The driver and sole occupant of the car, a woman aged in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. According to a Garda spokesperson, the scene remains preserved for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
