Woman dies after vehicle crashes into funeral in far north QueenslandRFDS The Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) has airlifted victims of Friday's incident in Kowanyama to larger medical centres. At least one person has died after a vehicle crashed into a house where a large crowd of people had gathered for a funeral viewing in Queensland's far north. RFDS Patients were airlifted to Townsville by the Royal Flying Doctors Service. That driver was driving a council vehicle, Acting Inspector Gooiker said, and it was "highly likely" he would be removed from the community. Acting Inspector Gooiker said evacuation protocols set up since last year's Ravenshoe tragedy had assisted in the medivac procedures at Kowanyama on Friday.
