Woman dies after completing a half marathonA woman has died after completing a half marathon in the US. A woman has died in hospital after collapsing at the end of a half marathon. The 36-year-old American woman, Lindsay Doherty, collapsed at the end of the Scranton Half Marathon in the US state of Pennsylvania on Sunday (NZT Monday). The Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton said Doherty worked in its development office, raising money for Catholic education. The Scranton resident had run the half marathon the previous year.
