A woman died instantly when her home was engulfed by a landslide, an inquest has heard. Cornwall coroner’s court heard that Norman was found in her pyjamas in a seated position in her home on 22 March 2013 hours after the landslide had wrecked the two-storey house. A postmortem found she had died as a result of crush injuries to the head and chest. Neighbours also reported a previous landslide on the same road a few months earlier, in which other repair work was being carried out. I remember seeing the foreman there so presumed they knew what they were doing.”Beckingham was not at home when the landslide happened.
