Lydia Murugu Wanjohi when she appeared before Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku [Collins Kweyu, Standard]A woman has been charged with conspiring to defraud the Kenya National Organisation for Victims of Ethnic clashes out of Sh7,099,000. Lydia Murugu Wanjohi denied the charge before Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku. She was released on a cash bail of Sh500,000 with one surety pending the mention of the case next week. In the same court a Mount Kenya University student was charged with being in possession of narcotic drugs. Kariuki was released on a Sh10,000 bond and one surety or cash bail of Sh5,000.
