Woman dead after being trapped in car crashFAIRFAX NZ Emergency serives are heading to a crash on West Coast Rd in Canterbury. A woman has died after being trapped in a vehicle, following a two-car crash in Canterbury. Police were alerted to the crash about 5pm on Sunday, on State Highway 73 near Lake Pearson. After being rescued from a car, a woman was transported to Christchurch hospital via helicopter. Three other people received injuries in the crash, but none were deemed life-threatening.
