The Konkan Railway filed a case on Wednesday following a complaint by an IT employee from Coimbatore regarding harassment by a group of men allegedly in an inebriated state. After attempting multiple helpline numbers, she received a call from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Karwar in Karnataka to help them identify the men. However, the RPF officers allegedly did not inquire the men, who were sleeping at that point, as the train began to leave the station, she claimed. The ticket collector received a written complaint from her and she deboarded the train at Mangaluru around 3.30 a.m. When contacted by The Hindu, an official from the Konkan Railway said any updates would be tweeted and refused to comment further.
