At a public grievance meeting in Bidar on Saturday, a homeless woman complained openly that officials were asking beneficiaries for bribes and recommendation letters from politicians. When Deputy Commissioner Anurag Tewari asked her to approach CMC Commissioner, she said that whenever she approached the CMC officials, they asked for money. Mr. Tewari assured the woman that her problem would be resolved soon. Mr. Khandre assured that no violators would be spared and directed Mr. Tewari to conduct an inquiry into it. Her responses were met with applause and hoots from those present at the grievance meeting.
