The National Police Service on Tuesday clarified that the woman posing as a police officer in a viral video on social media and who was allegedly harassing revellers is not an NPS officer. The woman boasted that as a police officer, she had the power to search the revellers at any time without explaining herself. "I am a police officer, I am allowed to touch your phone, I'm allowed to search your bag, I'm allowed to search your house. The video showed the lady in a social club having an altercation with other revellers threatening to arrest them for some alleged crimes. NPS said the lady in question is not a police officer under the NPS as she alleged but an enforcement officer working for Nairobi Metropolitan Service.
