A woman in South Carolina was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 30, after pouring hot water on her sleeping baby’s face. ADVERTISEMENTThe report cited that a number of concerned people contacted the sheriff’s office after they had seen some of the images and a video that circulated on the social media site. The sheriff’s office added that they have contacted the Sumter County Department of Social Services for a thorough investigation be conducted on the matter. At the time of the incident, authorities found that besides the infant, three other children resided in the suspect’s home. The sheriff’s office also noted that the investigation will be for “the benefit and safety of all children in this home.”Hardy was charged with cruelty to children for the act.
