A woman accused of abducting and torturing a 23-year-old businesswoman has been charged afresh with obtaining Sh270,000 in a fake watermelon deal. Hafsa Ahmed is accused of obtaining the money from Halima Rashid on diverse dates in January in Kayole, Nairobi county, after falsely pretending that she was in a position to supply her with watermelon. Through her lawyer Omayio Aranga', she asked the court to grant her lenient bond terms as she’s already overwhelmed by previous case bond terms. In any event, the purpose of the bail is to merely procure attendance of the accused person to court,” Aranga’ said. Halima told police that she only knew of the accused's whereabouts after she saw the abduction case on TV.
