Ms Jumwa was declared the ODM candidate for Malindi parliamentary seat after defeating incumbent William Mtengo with 8,436 votes. On the other hand, Ms Jumwa together with four sitting MCAs and aspirant supporting her in her bid for Malindi parliamentary seat emerged victorious during the primaries. HONOUREDMs Mboko emerged winner after she garnered 5,935 votes against his rival Hamisi Domoko who managed to get 3,294 votes. Ms Mboko led almost in all the polling stations.
