Glenview Police Officers responded about 3:13 p.m. Monday,April 3, 2023 to a report of an armed robbery in the block of 1900 Tower Drive in the center of The Glen Town Center shopping center. A female robbery victim reported that a male subject displayed a handgun, and demanded her purse. The female gave the male her purse, and he fled on foot northbound through the parking garage. The armed robbery is being investigated by Glenview Police Detectives, according to the Glenview Police Department. The Glenview Police Department stated that the police department believes this to be an isolated incident and no known threat to the public exists.
