A woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a man in Barnsley town centre yesterday. Ayaan Ali, 28, allegedly chased the man through the town with a kitchen knife before stabbing him in the shoulder as terrified shoppers dived into nearby stores. 'While it would be inappropriate to provide specific information about ongoing legal proceedings what I can clarify is that at this stage there is absolutely no information whatsoever to suggest that this was a group attack.
