Woman, 20, dead in Niagara Falls rollover, man charged with impaired driving


A 20-year-old woman is dead and three other people were slightly injured after a vehicle rolled and landed on its roof in a ditch in Niagara Falls, Ont., early Sunday. The driver, a 22-year-old man of Welland, Ont., has been charged with impaired driving causing death. Niagara Regional Police received a call around 2:15 a.m. about the single vehicle rollover on Biggar Road, west of Montrose Road in the Chippawa area, according to a news release. Police believe a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier was travelling westbound on Biggar Road when the driver allegedly lost control. The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
