The tax rate has increased $1.03, or 7.4 percent, since 2015 when the rate was $13.95. The municipal portion of the tax rate increased 14 cents, or 2.5 percent, from $5.62 in 2016 to $5.76 in 2017. The local education tax rate increased by 36 cents, or 6.9 percent, from $5.19 to $5.55. An increase in the tax rate does not necessarily equate to an increase in the homeowner’s tax bill. The Wolfeboro tax rate has been set at $14.98 per $1,000 of property value.
