May all of those who perished 25 years ago in the Rwanda genocide against the Tutsi, be remembered for their beauty and fragrance that grace our gardens. I have just returned from Rwanda where I attended Kwibuka 25, the 25th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi. People hold candles as they attend a night vigil and prayer at the Amahoro Stadium as part of the 25th Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide, in Kigali, Rwanda, on April 7. Rwanda on that day began 100 days of mourning for more than 800,000 people slaughtered in a genocide that shocked the world. Just having a good home in our old age, people who care for us, gives me hope that the future is bright.
