Te Anau police are appealing for witnesses to a crash involving a car and campervan believed to be on the wrong side of the road near Te Anau Downs. Police say a blue Subaru station wagon was involved in the incident on State Highway 94 (Te Anau Milford Sound Highway) when the driver had to take evasive action to avoid a campervan about 3pm on Friday, April 12. The campervan was believed to be on the wrong side of the road when going round a bend. The Subaru was travelling south towards Te Anau and the campervan was travelling north to Milford Sound.
