Witnesses recount being offered escort jobs by sex accusedSIMON O'CONNOR/FAIRFAX NZ Nigel Allan Hauauru Nelson at the start of his sex trial in the High Court at New Plymouth. A court witness says a Taranaki sex accused pitched the idea of working as an escort when he was picked up hitch-hiking as a teenager. During the car ride, he said Nelson told him about a prostitution business he ran. Under cross examination by defence lawyer Kelly Marriner, he disputed an assertion by her that he had in fact told Nelson he was 18. The witness said Nelson told him to get undressed and pose for a series of photos.
