SASKATOON — One person has been shot in what a witness describes as a “shootout” between police and a suspect in downtown Saskatoon. Witness Barry Steiner tells CTV Saskatoon he saw police with guns drawn and heard numerous shots as officers including one with a police dog chased a suspect on foot through the city’s downtown streets on Wednesday. Steiner says there were four or five shots fired and then he saw a man get out of a car and run down Fourth Avenue. “It seemed almost surreal, but obviously they were real police cars and real police. We were half a block away from the shootout.”(CTV Saskatoon)
