As of Aug. 9, fully vaccinated Americans will be able to freely enter Canada. But fully vaccinated Canadians will still face restrictions when crossing the border into the U.S.More important, in pandemic terms the U.S. is not a safe country. Presumably, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau decided to open up Canada to the Americans because he thought the timing was right. The U.S is teetering on the edge of another COVID-19 disaster, yet millions of Americans think vaccination is a communist plot. For Canada to open the border before this is resolved would be nuts.
