Greater EAC integration therefore enjoy immense potential in terms of improving well-being and tackling poverty. As the club’s newest recruit, the DRC will benefit from increased access to neighbouring markets as well as major Indian Ocean ports for shipping Congolese exports to global markets. The DRC’s potential contribution to the EACThis is where the DRC comes into play. Mathuki expects the value of EAC exports to the DRC to quadruple, making the region more economically competitive and dynamic.
