AMCThe Walking Dead may live on for many more years to come, but it’s not clear how much of its fanbase will remain to witness it. Without Rick, there is no Walking Dead, and AMC would be foolish to try to replace him with a new lead and continue the show without him. Most everyone agrees that if there is a Daryl-led Walking Dead, it should be a solo spin-off, not him leading the existing ensemble. These actors want to do other things, and many of them have not been able to due to the demands of The Walking Dead shooting and airing most of the year. Still, The Walking Dead is in a dark place, and almost total silence from AMC and all the cast members in question is not helping things.
