Online sales were up 30.2% compared to last year and down from May by 1.5%. With online sales increasing, fraud is also rising for the digital channels. Forter, a company specializing in online fraud detection, has seen a 300% to 500% increase in fraud over the past few months. Increased orders online, cost implications from closed stores and other financial impacts have retailers under extreme pressure. Keeping in mind that 98% of customers are good customers, online businesses need to focus on acquiring as many new customers as possible.
