Instead of a diploma, Boyd received a certificate of attainment. Passing scores on all three tests has been a graduation requirement since 2003. Because the MCAS had been waived as a graduation requirement, he could now receive his diploma. After high school, Boyd attended the district's post-graduate program, Learning in Functional Environments Program or LIFE. After getting the phone call in July, he went to Marlborough High School where he was handed the diploma.
