EpicEpic has announced the arrival of yet another Solo Showdown, the second one so far that follows on the heels of the first a couple weeks ago. That’s not what I think is the core problem of Solo Showdown, though. If you were paying attention to Solo Showdown last time, you’ll know that the top 100 players weren’t just good, they were insane. Otherwise, the prevailing sentiment in Solo Showdown is going to be “why bother?” for the vast majority of players without 85% win rates. Epic says that they’re going to keep iterating on Solo Showdown and other competitive modes, so perhaps we’ll see this happen eventually.
