2018 Getty ImagesAs Sundance Film Festival draws to an end, filmmakers may be wondering where the dollars went. Its previous misfires purchased as Sundance include The Birth of a Nation, which grossed $15.8 million domestically and failed to recoup its $17.5 million Sundance pricetag.
