But in the meantime, the Indians’ outfield in particular, and their offense in general, is officially a construction zone. What the Indians would have, on paper, should the Ramirez signing become official, is Ramirez, Santana and Bauers available for first base, designated hitter, and left field. Indians officials are hoping Ramirez still has some gas left in his tank and some pop left in his bat.
