Environment Canada has issued yellow warnings for wintry conditions in parts of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Western, central and northern Nova Scotia, including Halifax, will also see freezing rain from Monday morning to Monday afternoon. The agency expects four to eight millimeters of freezing rain will fall in Nova Scotia, with higher amounts over higher terrain. In New Brunswick, the freezing rain duration will be longer – up to eight hours in some areas, and between five and 10 millimeters of precipitation. Environment Canada says people in those parts of the Maritimes will see freezing rain on Monday before ending overnight.
