The Queenstown Lakes Disrict Council advised that power was out in and around Arrowtown, Dalefield, Lower Shotover and parts of Glenorchy. Roads affectedThe New Zealand Transport Agency said crews were working to clear South Island highways. Caution was advised for SH6 Queenstown to Cromwell and SH6 Haast to Wanaka. Chains may also be needed around Arrowtown, Lower Shotover and through to Arthur’s Point.
