Temperatures in Tulloch Bridge, in the Scottish Highlands, fell to -5C (23F) – the coldest recorded since the night of 8-9 May, when -5.1C was recorded at Shap, in Cumbria. Other parts of the UK also dipped below freezing overnight, marking the coldest night of the season so far. Some high cloud coming across from the west will cause hazy sunshine in the north of England and Scotland.
