Winnipeg fire crews called to flames in St. Boniface


Fire crews put out flames in a building in Winnipeg's St. Boniface neighbourhood Friday night. At around 6:30 p.m. CT, crews were called to a two-storey scrap yard business on Dupuy Avenue near Marion Street and Archibald Street. A vehicle caught fire on the first floor of the building, fire crews said. (CBC)District Fire Chief Myles Fitzhenry said a vehicle caught fire on the first floor of the building. There weren't any people in the building and Fitzhenry said he wasn't sure if it was occupied by a business or vacant.
