WINNIPEG — It was hard enough for the Winnipeg Jets’ brass to admit they’d made a mistake in hiring their first head coach. You don’t reward a coach whose special teams continue to drag the team down. It worked for Blue Bombers head coach Mike O’Shea last year. At the other end, the Jets don’t pay nearly enough attention to preventing goals. Only with average or above-average goaltending can we have a final verdict on the head coach.
