The 19-year-old rejected United's contract proposal in favour of seeking first-team opportunities elsewhere. And his development was rewarded with a six-minute cameo during United's Europa League Group L defeat to FC Astana in November. Ed Woodward and co. offered Ramazani a new contract but were not prepared to meet his wage demands, which they believed to be excessive. Ramazani believed the pathway to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's senior side was out of reach and left the club when his contract expired on Tuesday.
