Windsor & Eton 5, Shrivenham 1Young forward Ashley Howes bagged himself a brace as Windsor & Eton romped into the Berks & Bucks Charles Twelftee Trophy semi-final with a comprehensive victory over Shrivenham on Saturday. Visiting side Shrivenham scored their only goal this afternoon in the 13th minute as Windsor ‘keeper George Armstrong was caught in no man’s land and Brad Hirst calmly side-footed the ball into an empty net. Windsor, as they have done on many occasions this season, reacted superbly and were awarded a free kick in a favourable position five minutes before the break. Up stepped Carter and he confidently curled the ball into the bottom right corner. Angell’s side weren’t in the mood to take things slow in the second half as Johnson slid the ball under Shrivenham stopper Ash Horne in the 48th minute and Howes thumped it home emphatically three minutes later.
