It's hard to imagine The Championships, or Wimbledon as it is popularly known as, without the age-old snack of strawberries and cream. Each year the Wimbledon tennis tournament brings with it a celebration of sorts for the fans of the sport and strawberries with cream to this day remains the most popular snack of choice. The tradition dates back to the 19th century when this snack was first introduced in Wimbledon. The All England Club caters to thousands of fans in these three weeks which is why the supply of strawberries with cream and other snacks can never go out of stock. Each year the tournament serves approximately 28,000 kg or 140,000 servings of English strawberries and 10,000 litres of cream.
