Swindon PC Kyle Carter was dismissed without notice following a two-day hearing held at the Wiltshire Police Headquarters. He will also be placed on the national barred list, preventing him from rejoining the force in the future. The hearing was chaired by an Independent Legally Qualified Chair and concluded that PC Carter’s behaviour breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour set for police officers. It was found that, in March 2023, PC Carter made comments of a sexualised nature towards female colleagues, and behaved in an inappropriate and unwanted manner, on several occasions. “Upon becoming aware of his behaviour, he was immediately suspended from his role and an investigation commenced by the Force Professional Standards Department.
