Oduol is facing charges of allegedly violating the Constitution, abuse of office, gross misconduct and spreading misleading information. Kenya Kwanza senators have expressed their desire to save the impeached deputy governor which could turn the Siaya county woes into a political battle between President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga. The committee's chair, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator William Kisang', said they would be objective in handling the matter.
