Only 48% of respondents believe people in the U.S. are being harmed “right now” by global warming. More than half of respondents (55%) still say that they have not yet personally experienced the effects of climate change. The Yale survey found that two-thirds of people disagree that it is too late to do anything about global warming. They have stepped up efforts to expose fossil fuel companies for their deceit and assign responsibility to them for their damage to the planet. Also last month, Boston University held a symposium to strategize on fighting fossil fuel disinformation.
