The central government has given over Rs 3 lakh crore to the state. The Rs 2.19 lakh crore given to the state for schemes under the 14th Finance Commission has not percolated to the ground. The farm loan waiver is not a medium to win elections. We have thus decided to waive off loans of up to Rs 1 lakh from nationalised and cooperative banks based on realities of Karnataka. Will anti-incumbency harm you in the next set of state elections where you are in power?
