However, his wife Aparna Purohit had to return home alone as her husband has to stay back in Mumbai's Navy Nagar to complete certain formalities. Speaking to India Today, Aparna Purohit exclaimed how difficult the last nine years had been. However, Aparna said that the interim bail granted to Lt Col Purohit has regained her confidence. However, it was only after then Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar's intervention that Lt Col Purohit got the papers that proved his innocence, said Aparna Purohit. Finally, she said she will fight till the end so that the stigma of being labelled as terrorist is washed away.
