And just last Wednesday, the European Parliament adopted its negotiating position on the AI Act with 499 votes in favor, 28 against and 93 abstentions. AI systems were defined to include logic or rule-based information processing, as well as probabilistic algorithms such as machine learning. The AI Act introduces regulations that impose obligations on both providers and users, adopting a risk-based approach to regulating AI systems.
