KUALA LUMPUR: Many are wondering whether Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, who has been hospitalised, will show up today for the start of her corruption trial that had been adjourned for two days. When asked by reporters yesterday, her husband and former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak confirmed that Rosmah had been admitted to hospital. Senior Deputy Public Prosecutor Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram, however, seriously objected to the request, claiming it as Rosmah’s last-minute attempt to avoid attending court proceedings. Justice Mohamed Zaini Mazlan settled to adjourn the case for two days, adding that the trial must proceed today and should Rosmah require a wheelchair or a short break, the court would permit it. Rosmah is facing three counts of graft in relation to a solar electric project for rural schools in Sarawak.
