The big announcement that Kai Sotto will join the Gilas Men’s team in the FIBA qualifying windows in February is set to rock the Philippine basketball scene. Coach Brian Shaw of GLeague Ignite was “surprised” by Kai Sotto’s move to join the national team. Before we get offended, Shaw did not really object, and he is talking about the NBA GLeague — a level right below the NBA itself. Kai has been stressed out by recurring questions on his place in NBA mock drafts — something he has absolutely no control over. Some of these mock draft writers have ulterior motives (didn’t I just write a PBA mock draft?)
