With the UP Assembly elections approaching, everyone in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)- from its workers to even assembly candidates- are apparently fully dependent on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Senior citizen Rama Shanker Sharma said that PM Modi had a far bigger responsibility than taking care of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. "The ticket will only be given to a candidate on the grounds of his ability to win elections, and his popularity," he said. He said that the BJP would win the 2017 Assembly elections in UP just like the 2014 general election, under the guidance of PM Modi.
