Wild walkoff win against Padres in bottom of the 12th ‘as good as it gets’ for Toronto Blue Jays

TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays won a wild one Tuesday, on a wild pitch. Carlos Villanueva came on for the Padres in the bottom of the 12th with a 6-4 lead and gave up a hit to Russell Martin. The Padres went ahead in the sixth on Alex Dickerson’s blast into the second deck, giving the Padres a 4-3 lead. Travis then walked after a 14-pitch at-bat highlighted by a well-hit ball to left field that just went foul. After Kevin Pillar beat out a double-play ball, Darwin Barney doubled to move Pillar to third with one out.
