Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has blamed the recent mass defections within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to leadership failure by the Federal Government, saying the APC-led administration runs a vindictive and intimidating government, while denying Nigerians the dividends of democracy. Wike, who stated this, yesterday, while addressing journalists after project inspection in Port Harcourt, declared that more high profile defections are in the offing across the country. We expected these defections, knowing that the ruling party at the national level has completely failed the people. For me, I had expected these defections more than a year ago. “APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, said in one breadth that Ortom is the best that they have, the following day, because he had defected he said fielding Ortom would have been a calamity.
