PETALING JAYA: A woman in Cheras says she was choked, slapped and threatened with a knife by her husband in an alleged case of domestic violence after she asked him to buy ayam gepuk (pounded fried chicken). “In the incident at 3.30pm, the victim had asked her husband to buy her ayam gepuk as she was craving for it. ACP Rosdi said that according to the complainant, the suspect then allegedly choked the victim, slapped her and punched her in the head. "The suspect also reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and placed it against the victim’s neck during the altercation," he said. ACP Rosdi said the case is being investigated and police have referred the matter to the district Criminal Investigation Department for further action.
