Wife of slain Canterbury farmworker charged with his murder


Murder accused Alana Bamber, left, at the funeral of her husband, Tony Waldron, in Twizel on September 27, 2019. More than a year after a Canterbury farmworker was found dead in his bed, his wife has been charged with his murder. Joshua Dylan Morris-Bamber, of Christchurch, was charged with Waldron’s murder in October 2019. Bamber was remanded in custody until October 30, when she will appear before the High Court in Christchurch. The trial of Morris-Bamber is set to begin in the High Court, in Christchurch, on November 2.
