Wichita State is kissing the Missouri Valley goodbye. 10 seed in this year’s NCAA tournament even though they went 30-4 in the regular season and won the Missouri Valley tournament. These seeding slights — attributed mainly to Wichita State’s weak conference competition — sent the school looking for greener pastures, which it found in an AAC that ranked seventh this past season in conference RPI (the Missouri Valley ranked 12th). “Now we won’t have to be perfect to make the NCAA Tournament or get a decent seed,” one source connected to the school told Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com. The Shockers played two NCAA tournament games this year, beating Dayton but losing to Kentucky.
